The Sequenced Artists had a productive meeting yesterday evening and we have a group showing at the Reasonto event which runs from the 2nd – 4th September as part of the Brighton Digital Festival. I’m showing my Alberic’s Scrapbook video piece and I’ll update progress as the show comes together on here.
Category: Video
This is one of the feature video sequences from Alberic’s Scrapbook, I really enjoyed filming this and putting it together. Many thanks to Brian and Dennis for their part in this project, I hope that you enjoy it, I’m now inspired to create more video art from poems.
The Dance and Water video sequence from my Alberic’s Scrapbook short film which featured in the Sequenced 13 digital arts show is now online, follow the link below to view:
Video with Photography
I have really enjoyed the creative experience of filming and producing Alberic’s Scrapbook for the Sequenced13 digital media arts show. This has re-kindled my interest in both photography and video and the project was a great chance to work on high quality images that were shown really large on a projection. The collaboration was also great where I worked with actors, dancers and a musician as part of the creative process. Alberic’s Scrapbook has also given me lots of ideas for new video projects which I am starting to work on now.
The Sequenced13 show was a great success and I had some great feedback from my video installation Alberic’s Scrapbook. I’m going to upload this video once I have completed a few tweaks that I’ve been working on. I will post up a link on this website once the video is released.
The Installation is Complete!
My Alberic’s Scrapbook video installation is now complete! Its has been a real challenge to get this project together but today it is complete. I’ve worked with some great, really creative people to put this video installation together. I’ll post up some vimeo links when I re-work the footage, but before all of that I need to finish my signage and prepare for the private view!
Below is the final plan that I built my project’s installation to, it actually worked out pretty close to this which I was very pleased about!
I’m deep into editing mode and spending many hours at my desk getting my video piece together for the Sequenced13 show. I’ve captured some good stuff and adding it into the editing sequences is really creative, but of course, it’s a lot of work! This will all be worth it when the show opens in two weeks.
We start the build next week and I’m at the stage where I’m completing second edits and tweaking sound for the individual video parts. I have to say that everyone has been very supportive during this project especially the actors and dancers who gave their all for my video. Also Dave who has been great creating original sound for my piece and Brian who has recorded a stunning voice over for one of my features within the piece.
So work continues and I’ll be locked in my office for a few days yet… Visit our Twitter page for the latest updates > @Sequenced13
I’m doing my last major shoot for my video installation this morning, it has been a busy few days with three video shoots in as many days. I’ve nearly captured all of the footage I need now and hours of editing are ahead but it will all be worth it! Take a look at our twitter page for the show > @Sequenced13
I’ve been working on the soundtracks for my latest video project with a musician, Dave Loach. Its good to add the the extra creative input by adding original sound to the piece and also to watch the piece develop further.
I’m working hard on my video edits for my latest project, I’m working on story boards, shooting footage and editing into the night to keep to my schedule. I like the pace in the early stages of putting a large project together. I’m calling this project a scrapbook for now as a working title and I’ll be posting footage once the video pieces are further down the production process.
