The Sequenced Artists had a productive meeting yesterday evening and we have a group showing at the Reasonto event which runs from the 2nd – 4th September as part of the Brighton Digital Festival. I’m showing my Alberic’s Scrapbook video piece and I’ll update progress as the show comes together on here.
I have really enjoyed the creative experience of filming and producing Alberic’s Scrapbook for the Sequenced13 digital media arts show. This has re-kindled my interest in both photography and video and the project was a great chance to work on high quality images that were shown really large on a projection. The collaboration was also great where I worked with actors, dancers and a musician as part of the creative process. Alberic’s Scrapbook has also given me lots of ideas for new video projects which I am starting to work on now.
The Sequenced art show is now open! It’s been a great experience creating my video piece and many thanks for all of the creative input that I have received. The show is an excellent collection of digital media art and is running until Mon 8th July in central Brighton.
My video installation is called Alberic’s Scrapbook and is an abstract mix of myths, legends and poetry interlaced with dance and the common element of water. For the latest updates and visit details view our twitter page @Sequenced13.
My Alberic’s Scrapbook video installation is now complete! Its has been a real challenge to get this project together but today it is complete. I’ve worked with some great, really creative people to put this video installation together. I’ll post up some vimeo links when I re-work the footage, but before all of that I need to finish my signage and prepare for the private view!
Below is the final plan that I built my project’s installation to, it actually worked out pretty close to this which I was very pleased about!
The plan for my video project is coming together, I’ve taken the ideas for the short films series further and I’ve contacted actors, dancers and voice over artists. It’s exciting stuff and I’m continuing the video shoots this weekend working to storyboards generated from my ideas. The schedule will be tight and I have many hours of editing and effects generation ahead but it feels very creative and positive! I’ll post more on here and up to vimeo as I produce the individual video pieces.
I’m working on a plan for my latest project, it will last about three months with the show due to open at the end of June. Planning is key for a body of work like this so I’m working on a project plan to cover what I need to do. I build in mile stones with goals to be achieved by dates to break up the workload. This is also useful to keep the project production on track and also to highlight any slips in the schedule.
I’ve started my latest video installation project which I will be showing in Brighton this June. I’ve planned a series of short films around a theme which is going to be great fun to create! I’ll post more info on here as I progress through the project. I’m also going to be working in some footage from my recent Beach Wood City video art project.
I’m working on a plan for a Video Installation where I will be presenting and showing a series of shot films. Its interesting to work on the content, concept, technology and creating an environment all at once. These are then bought together to create the space itself. I’m enjoying this process!
