Course Pages UX/UI Design
UX/UI Design | User Testing | Wireframing | Prototyping | UX Strategy
Business: INTO University Partnerships LLP (EdTech)
Deliverable: User research, user testing, stakeholder presentations, Figma prototypes, Google analytics, UI design, design hand-over, UI/UX evaluation
Objective
To create a new approach for the INTO University course pages which increases user engagement and successful student recruitment. The new course page designs would be based on user research and user testing sessions and analytics. User testing sessions would take place before and after the product re-design.
Approach
I carried out a review of the current course pages to assess, evaluate and benchmark the current user experience and user journey. User testing interviews were conducted with international centre managers to gather pain points and concerns which were to be addressed during this design project.
I gathered and collated user data from Google analytics to analise the product performance to inform the new UX strategy. All data was included in a visual slide deck and presented to the INTO stakeholders and team leaders.
I produced wirefames to map the new user journey and to identify red routes which could be tested internally to gather initial feedback. These wireframes went on to form the basis for Figma prototypes which I created and then user tested with the centre managers, current students and prospective students.
The new course page designs were refined based on the user testing sessions and user feedback which informed the re-design process. The final Figma designs were approved and I presented these to senior developers for production with the development and test teams.
Outcomes
The new course page Figma designs went through a full design hand-over process which I managed. Design and test support was provided during the build phase by myself and my design team. The new course page templates were completed, tested and launched to deadline.
As the new academic year approached Google analytics was monitored to evaluate the new user experience. UX benchmarking was carried out to assess the benefits of the design project.
The new course page design and build was successful with a 25% increased in take up of courses from overseas students in the first 6 months following the new course page design launch.
